We are dedicated to two things which are perfectly captured in this passage: "This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." (1Tim 2:3, 4) As you review what is available here, we suggest reviewing the “Ground Rules” section. There are so many voices out there today, why not take some time to develop some solid rules for approaching and evaluating the word of truth. “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2Tim 2:15) |

What Is Important to Word-Is-Truth?
Our Focus: Our emphasis is on the teaching of the Word of God. Some would say ours is a teaching ministry. However, I think every ministry’s focus should be on teaching the Word. It is our objective to teach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to a perishing world. It is also our objective to continue to teach the Word “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Eph 4:13). Many will visit our site with the motive of understanding what position we take on doctrines. Remember this, the positions we take are not the most important thing, it is how we arrived at these positions. We resolve to remain faithful to the Word of God which has been our identifying mark since our beginning. How Did Word-Is-Truth Begin?
Word-Is-Truth Christian Church began with a weekly bible study where faithful, committed believers met weekly for seven years. These believers formed the Word-Is-Truth Christian Church, founded in 2001. The times in which we live are characterized by a loose handling of the sacred Word of God. Our attitude toward God will be seen by our handling of the very thing that He declares reveals who He is and His perfect will for our lives. What Are Our 'Ground Rules' for Effective Study?
We all came from somewhere and our backgrounds are as different as our opinions. We need rules to establish how we interpret the bible. How we understand the bible determines what we think about God and His will for our lives. We all have the bible in front of us, but we need to agree on ground rules of interpretation or will never be, “like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.” (Phil 2:2b). What is Salvation?
Some claim they are saved, while others do not know if they are saved or not. How can we know what salvation is if we are not willing to discuss salvation openly and objectively? You may have taken a position about salvation, but how does it square with the Word of Truth? Why not be transparent here about salvation. It is not important who is right or wrong about salvation, we should all want the truth, from the Word of God! We need a united gospel message, “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” (1Cor 1:10) click here for more... |
